Mystic Guardian

Mystic Guardian is an action RPG that’s inspired by the 90’s classics of the genre such as Terranigma, Secret of Mana, and Illusion of Time. Mystic Guardian borrows the visuals, the gameplay and even the general atmosphere of adventure from these great classics.

The controls are straightforward: on the left side of the screen you have your virtual d-pad that’ll help you move your character freely through the settings. On the right side you have the attack and special skill buttons that’ll help you destroy your enemies. There are more than 100 different skills available.

You can choose one of the two heroes available; each with its own independent story arc. Plus, as you start reaching higher levels, you can get new types of characters that can help you access new and more powerful skills. You have total control of your hero’s development.

The story of the game takes you through a ton of different settings. You can walk through caves, forests, cities and many other ‘steam punk’ locations that are full of danger.

Mystic Guardian is an outstanding JRPG that offers you an incredibly fun gaming experience and an overwhelming amount of quality content. It's a true love letter in a videogame format, dedicated to the classics of the genre for 16-bit consoles.
